THE BIG
PICTURE
MEMBERSHIP IN THE 15TH INFANTRY
REGIMENT ASSOCIATION ALLOWS TROOPERS TO
MAINTAIN THAT SPECIAL BOND AMONG WARRIORS
THAT HAS BEEN DEVELOPED WHILE ON ACTIVE
DUTY, IN PEACE AND IN WAR. HISTORY TELLS US
THAT, AS THE YEARS PASS, THESE RELATIONSHIPS
BECOME EVEN MORE IMPORTANT, ESPECIALLY AMONG
VETERANS WHO HAVE SHARED THE RIGORS OF
COMBAT.

The
Campaign for Chattanooga
In 1863, Union and
Confederate forces fought for
control of Chattanooga, the gateway
to the deep south. The Confederate’s
were victorious at nearby
Chickamauga in September, but
renewed fighting in Chattanooga in
November gave Union troops final
control.
